Esse Cookers

Esse have been making cookers since 1854, originally in Scotland and more recently in Barnoldswick in Lancashire. The cookers are available in gas, wood burning, multifuel and oil.

ESSE cookers and Stoves are installed at the River Cottage HQ in Devon and they are regularly featured on channel 4's River Cottage series. Head Chef Gill Mellor and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall both cook on ESSE Wood fired cookers at home. www.rivercottage.net

For some, it is the on-off ‘AGA’ that’s ready to cook in around 25 minutes and is only on when you need it. For all Esse owners, it’s the heart of their home, and a focal point for the family in the most important room in the house.

As Esse are “local” we are able to offer a visit to the factory trade showroom if necessary to view the range of cookers and colours available.
