Wood Burning Stoves:
Wood burning stoves are available in a variety of guises ranging from steel, cast iron and even ceramic in both traditional and modern designs.
A wood burning stove can give in excess of 10kW heat output, but for optimum burning conditions, they require a static grate that allows a bed of ash to build up.
The most important factor of a wood-burning stove is a ready supply of well seasoned wood with a moisture content of less than 20% that is kept in a dry storage area.
Wood burning stoves are available as room heaters, are able to heat domestic hot water and provide central heating.
